This Privacy Policy explains how Begonia Stay ("Begonia Stay", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform you agree to the practices described here.

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Booking information — the properties you view, save, and book, including stay dates, guest counts, and booking references.
• Host information — if you list a property, the details you provide about it and identity/verification (KYC) information.
• Technical information — device type, app version, and basic diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers. Bookings currently use pay-at-property, so no card data is processed by us.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To process and manage bookings between guests and hosts.
• To verify host identity and maintain trust and safety on the Platform.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing your information

We share the minimum information necessary to complete a booking — for example, sharing a guest's name and stay details with the relevant host, and vice versa. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or regulatory requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see section 6).

5. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

6. Your rights

7. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
