Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Begonia Stay platform, including our website and mobile applications (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Platform

Begonia Stay is a marketplace that connects guests with hosts offering short-term accommodation. We are not the owner, operator, or provider of any listed property; hosts are solely responsible for their listings and stays.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3. Bookings and payment

• A booking is a reservation for a property for the dates and guest count you select.
• Payment is currently handled on a pay-at-property basis: you settle the amount directly with the host on arrival. No amount is charged by Begonia Stay at the time of booking.
• The total shown at checkout reflects the nightly rate for your selected dates and any applicable fees displayed before you confirm.

4. Cancellations

You may cancel an upcoming booking from your account before the check-in date, subject to the cancellation terms shown at the time of booking. Hosts may set their own cancellation conditions.

5. Host responsibilities

• Provide accurate listing information and honour confirmed bookings.
• Comply with all applicable laws, taxes, permits, and safety requirements.
• Complete any identity verification (KYC) we require.

6. Guest responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and use properties respectfully and lawfully.
• Honour house rules and the agreed check-in/check-out times.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by posting false information, infringing others' rights, circumventing security, or using the service for unlawful purposes.

8. Content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant Begonia Stay a licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Platform.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Begonia Stay is not liable for the acts or omissions of hosts or guests, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
